I mastered the debut LP “Wear Your Sadness As A Smile” by the Barcelona-based Scottish artist Calum Busby, which was released in April 2024. This album marks a significant milestone in Busby’s career, showcasing his unique sound and artistic vision. The project was recorded at the renowned Sol de Sants Studios located in the vibrant city of Barcelona, Spain. In addition to Sol de Sants Studios, the recording sessions also took place at Gabrastudio and Estúdio Cedofeita.
The album was produced by the talented Theo Monteillet, who is associated with Sol de Sants Studios. His expertise in production is evident in every track, creating a cohesive sound that resonates throughout the listening experience.
For the mixing process, a skilled team was brought on board. Track 1 was expertly mixed by @oscargarciabragado, tracks 2 and 3 were mixed by @andresbua, while tracks 4, 5, 6, and 7 saw the mixing talents of @gabvalente. Tracks 8, 9, and 10 were mixed by the team at @sol_de_sants_studios, and track 11 was mixed by none other than Calum Busby.
In terms of mastering, I had the privilege of mastering all tracks except for tracks 1 and 3. Track 1 was mastered by @oscargarciabragado, while track 3 was handled by Stardelta Audio Mastering.
