I mastered the debut full-length album “CORTA AS ASAS PAVÃO, VOA!” by the Portuguese artist Luís Lucas, released in August 2025.
The recording was done at Estúdio Cedofeita and mixed by Gabriel Valente.
From the artist’s Bandcamp
“Luís Lucas (Porto, 1997) exists because of others, especially the musicians who believed in him. Still, me. Breaking down boundaries not in the name of destruction, but in the name of freedom, modern or eternal?, of being able to be everything.
The album (CORTA AS ASAS PAVÃO, VOA! 2025), in terms of words and ideas, seems to arise from a set of questions that have accompanied me throughout my life: what do I need from others? How can I be honest without wanting applause, without wanting to conquer, and then hide and falsely aggrandize myself? What is God? What is love? Does one exist without the other? How can we be God to each other? How can we know ourselves inside without getting caught up in our interests, problems, and conditions? Only by looking outside. Only by looking at the interests, problems, and conditions of others can we see, know, and understand our own.
“To the detriment of us, the new self is an alienation” (KESO). In times of super individualism, this album attempts to open paths to a self that is not alienated because it is realized, and realized because it is animated, loved, and inspired by all the other selves that are, can be, and will be realized.”
