FOH for WU LYF, Festival Vodafone Paredes de Coura 2026

I was the FOH engineer for the live concert of the British band WU LYF, on August 13 at Festival Vodafone Paredes de Coura 2026.

The WU LYF concert at Vodafone Paredes de Coura 2026 carried immense cultural weight as it marked a rare live appearance following one of indie rock’s most unexpected reunions. After defining the early 2010s indie scene with their cult 2011 debut Go Tell Fire to the Mountain, the Manchester band abruptly disbanded in 2012, leaving fans with over a decade of silence. The group shocked the music world by reforming in 2025 and releasing “A New Life Is Coming,” which was their first new material in 13 years. Their 2026 festival slot in arrived on the heels of their highly anticipated sophomore album, A Wave That Will Never Break, produced by Sonic Boom. Taking the stage at 00:30 on August 13, the band delivered their trademark heavy pop and visceral post-punk to a packed, highly expectant late-night crowd at the Praia Fluvial do Taboão.
